Nelly Korda Joins Bryson DeChambeau on President Trump’s Sports Council

Just days after surrendering her No. 1 world ranking, Nelly Korda has embraced a new challenge, joining President Trump’s Council on Sports, Fitness & Nutrition. She joins golf legends Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, and chairman Bryson DeChambeau.

The White House unveiled the revamped council on July 31, with DeChambeau emphasizing youth development and community wellness. “We can change the fabric of our communities,” he declared, outlining the council’s mission to boost youth fitness nationwide.

Korda’s appointment follows her 71-week reign atop the LPGA rankings, which ended after a T36 finish at the AIG Women’s Open. Despite the setback, this new role marks a significant step in her broader influence beyond competition.

With sports icons like Wayne Gretzky and Tony Romo also on board, the council blends star power with legacy. Korda’s presence is expected to inspire young athletes—especially girls—to pursue healthy lifestyles and achieve excellence in sport.
