Nelly Korda won 7 times last year and hasn’t lifted a trophy in 2025 despite similar stats. How is that possible?

Nelly Korda’s 2025 season has puzzled many golf fans. After winning seven LPGA titles last year—including six by this point—she has yet to lift a trophy in 2025. What’s surprising is that her stats remain almost identical to last season, proving she’s still performing at an elite level.

The LPGA Tour has been fiercely competitive this year, with 22 different winners across the first 21 events, including six rookies. Korda has stayed consistent, making every cut and posting five top-10 finishes, but victories continue to elude her. She admits that everything needs to “click” perfectly to win, and this year, the breaks just haven’t gone her way.

Her closest calls came at the U.S. Women’s Open, where she tied for second, and the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions, where she finished runner-up. Analysts note that small differences, like fewer weekend rounds in the 60s and a slight drop in her third-round scoring average, have kept her from closing out tournaments. Still, Korda’s numbers are nearly as strong—or even better—than last year’s.

Despite falling to World No. 2 behind Atthaya Thitikul, Korda remains optimistic. She insists she’s focused less on rankings and more on refining her game, believing wins will come if she continues her process. As she put it herself: “That’s just golf.”
