Jordan Spieth embraced his return to competitive golf at the Hero World Challenge with his usual charisma. While enjoying the pro-am in Albany, he candidly shared how well-rested he’s been—a rare luxury for a new parent.
Spieth and his wife, Annie, recently welcomed their first child, Samuel, on November 14. This Bahamas event marks his first tournament appearance since becoming a father, adding a personal milestone to his professional journey.
Grateful for the support at home, Spieth said Annie encouraged him to take part in the tournament. Though hesitant at first, he was thankful for the chance to briefly “sneak away” for a week of golf.
He added that both Annie and Samuel are doing well. While he’s enjoying the competition, Spieth is eager for the holiday break to spend quality time with his growing family.
