Former tennis star Camila Giorgi has returned to the sport in a new capacity—as a reporter—after retiring in 2023. The 33-year-old, once ranked world No.26, made her on-camera debut at an ATP event in Buenos Aires.
Giorgi’s retirement came amid allegations of unpaid rent and claims she fled Italy to evade taxes—accusations she firmly denies. She insists she moved to the United States for modeling and personal reasons, not to escape legal troubles.

Now based in Miami, Giorgi has built a successful modeling career while maintaining ties to Italy. Speaking publicly, she clarified that all furniture in her rented villa was her own and that no tax evasion occurred.
Appearing upbeat, Giorgi told Italian media she’s happy and settled. “I never fled. I live between Miami and Italy,” she said. “Now I’m doing what I love, without needing to explain everything to everyone.”
