Paige Spiranac has long been admired for her golf skills but often finds herself in the spotlight for her bold fashion choices. The social media star has admitted that she had to learn how to deal with online negativity early in her career—and over time, she’s developed a unique way of handling criticism.
Back in 2022, after Maxim named her the “Sexiest Woman Alive,” one troll compared her face to a horse. Instead of firing back angrily, Spiranac responded with humor by posting a photoshopped image of herself with a horse’s head, captioning it “Seabiscuit Spiranac.” Her witty approach earned widespread praise and showed just how well she could turn hate into laughter.
This week, her clothing choices again stirred up controversy. Spiranac shared a clip of herself on the course wearing a backless onesie, captioning it: “Don’t judge a book by its cover or in my case pink clubs and a onesie lol.” Some users criticized the outfit, with one comment suggesting she was more interested in Instagram fame than golf.
Instead of backing down, Spiranac doubled down on humor. Posting another photo of herself in the same outfit, she wrote: “People are so mad about this outfit, the funny part is I really thought it was one of my more conservative looks lol.”
While the outfit wouldn’t be allowed during official play, it posed no issue for a practice session. Spiranac has faced similar criticism in the past, including during the Masters, but continues to address it in her own confident way.
Ahead of the prestigious tournament, she even posted a photo in the iconic green jacket—without a shirt underneath. That too drew negative remarks, with one commenter writing, “Be less of a wh–e Paige. It’s more attractive.”
True to form, she clapped back with sharp humor, pointing out the irony of the critic’s profile photo, where he himself wasn’t wearing a shirt. She replied: “I’ll put a shirt on when you do.”
Once again, Spiranac showed that while her style might ruffle feathers in the golf world, she’s not afraid to embrace the spotlight—and do it with a smile.
