Wesley Bryan, a PGA Tour professional, finds himself at a career crossroads after participating in LIV Golf’s YouTube event, The Duels. Despite a successful career with over $5 million in earnings, Bryan’s suspension has sparked a debate on PGA Tour regulations and their application to content creators.
The suspension follows Bryan’s involvement in The Duels, an event featuring both professional golfers and content creators. He played alongside Dustin Johnson and finished fifth. This participation, just before LIV Golf Miami 2025, was deemed an unauthorized event by the PGA Tour.
In a video shared on his YouTube channel, Bryan addressed the suspension, stating that the rules were unclear and that he planned to appeal. He argued that content creation, particularly on YouTube, should not fall under the same regulations as traditional professional events.
Bryan remains steadfast in his belief that his participation in The Duels did not breach PGA Tour rules. He emphasized his commitment to growing golf through digital media and pledged to continue supporting his fellow creators while challenging the suspension.
