British tennis greats Jamie Murray and Laura Robson have written their names into the record books after completing a spectacular tennis rally on top of two moving Lexus NX cars.
The pair achieved two Guinness World Records™ titles: the longest tennis rally on moving cars and the fastest speed recorded during a rally on moving cars, hitting 101 consecutive shots while traveling side by side at 29 mph.
The stunt, designed to showcase Lexus’ focus on precision and performance, was staged on the runway at Duxford Airfield. Two custom-built aluminum platforms were bolted to the vehicles, safety-tested, and secured with straps before stunt drivers took control of the cars.
To ensure flawless execution, the challenge was overseen by Marc Cass, a world-renowned stunt coordinator known for his work on blockbuster franchises like James Bond, Star Wars, and Harry Potter.

Reflecting on the achievement, Murray said:
“Pulling off something that’s never been done before and being recognized with two Guinness World Records titles is a thrill we’ll never forget.”

Robson added that the challenge was “a surreal experience” that combined tennis fundamentals—timing, skill, and teamwork—with an entirely new stage.
The stunt marks another highlight in Lexus’ role as Platinum Partner and Official Automotive Partner of both the ATP Tour and the LTA, as well as its ongoing collaboration with Sky Tennis. Lexus is sponsoring 12 major ATP tournaments in 2025, including the Rolex Paris Masters and the Nitto ATP Finals.
Chris Hayes, Director of Lexus UK, commented:
“Precision, performance, and creativity are at the heart of everything we do. Partnering with two British tennis legends to set world records perfectly reflects our ambition to push boundaries.”
