During a 2013 golf outing in California, Caitlyn Jenner, then known as Bruce, approached Jordan Spieth with a surprising suggestion: a date with her daughter, Kendall Jenner. Spieth, however, politely declined the offer.
Despite Kendall’s fame and modeling success, Spieth had no idea who the Jenners were at the time. His focus remained firmly on golf and his private life, rather than celebrity circles or media buzz.
As Caitlyn Jenner gained wider attention with her Vanity Fair cover, Spieth’s choice still stood. His heart belonged to his longtime girlfriend, Annie Verret, whom he had been dating since high school.
Spieth’s mother, Chris, later told the New York Times, “He doesn’t need a celebrity girlfriend. He doesn’t want the attention.” For Spieth, loyalty and simplicity outweighed fame and glamour.
