Replaced at PGA Tour Policy Board Just After 1 Year, Jordan Spieth Fails to Hide His True Feelings

Jordan Spieth stepped down from the PGA Tour Policy Board after just one year, making way for Camilo Villegas. His brief appearance during the transition hinted at voluntary departure, possibly tied to his opposition to deeper ties with the Public Investment Fund.

In a recent interview, Spieth shared mixed feelings about the Tour’s direction, describing recent changes as “reactive.” He emphasized the importance of aligning players, sponsors, and fans to shape a sustainable product model while distancing himself from internal policy decisions.

Speaking candidly on the *5 Clubs* podcast, Spieth admitted relief about his exit. He expressed confidence in the current board, saying the “right people” were now in the room, and hinted at flexibility in the Tour’s evolving event structure.

While Spieth refocuses on his game, he’s optimistic about returning to top form. With five sponsor exemptions in 2025 and improved health, he believes he can challenge elite players again, saying, “I’m young enough and now healthy enough to do so.”
