Lexi Thompson Opens Up on Semi-Retirement Decision and Future Plans
Less than two months after announcing her semi-retirement, Lexi Thompson is set to compete at the Founders Cup in Florida. The 29-year-old golfer initially stepped back after the Grant Thornton Invitational but opted for a selective schedule instead of full retirement.
In an interview with *Golf Monthly*, Thompson revealed that her engagement to Max Provost influenced her decision. She admitted that wedding planning has been challenging, joking about needing a planner. Provost, a clinical sales representative, proposed to Thompson in January during a trip to Whistler.
Thompson remains committed to golf, planning to play in 10 tournaments, including the Chevron Championship and KPMG Women’s PGA Championship. She has also launched the *Lexi Fitness* app and aspires to open a gym. Looking ahead, she hopes to captain the Solheim Cup team while balancing personal and professional goals.
