Sebastian Korda recently spent some downtime with his sister, LPGA star Nelly Korda, as he continues to recover from injury ahead of the 2025 US Open. The American has been sidelined since the French Open after suffering a stress fracture in his right shin, forcing him to miss the grass-court season, including Wimbledon.
Coming from a family deeply rooted in sports—his parents Petr Korda and Regina Rajchrtova were both professional tennis players, while his sisters Jessica and Nelly are accomplished golfers with 20 LPGA titles between them—Sebastian has always had strong athletic influences around him.
On August 14, Nelly shared a playful Instagram story showing her brother taking a golf shot that landed just three feet from the hole. She joked about his effort while Sebastian celebrated the moment with a small dance, highlighting the lighthearted bond between the siblings.
Despite enjoying some fun on the golf course, Sebastian’s focus now shifts back to tennis, with his return set for the US Open. The tournament draw will be revealed on August 21.
In an earlier interview at the Adelaide International, Sebastian spoke about how valuable his family’s support has been throughout his career. He emphasized how he and his sisters help each other navigate the challenges of individual sports and how his parents’ professional experience continues to guide him.
“It’s really special,” Korda said. “Even though we play different sports, we share a lot of the same struggles and experiences. My sisters can help me, and I can help them. Having parents who’ve been through everything I’m facing gives me so much perspective. I’m lucky to have that support system.”
Sebastian’s girlfriend, Ivana Nedved, also shares an athletic background as the daughter of Czech football legend Pavel Nedved, further tying his personal life to the world of sports.
