Serena Williams’ Relatable Mom Confession Is a Total Ace

Serena Williams recently shared a candid moment of motherhood, admitting she hid in her car for a short break from her 7-year-old daughter, Olympia. “Massage seats on,” she wrote on X, joking she was “hiding” from her child.

The tennis icon explained the need for her time-out, noting it was a school holiday and she’d been on nonstop mom duty. With no shame, Serena added, “Judge away. I don’t care. I need 10 mins,” showing every parent’s need for pause.

Despite the moment of retreat, Serena proudly stands by her parenting. In a past Vogue interview, she declared, “I’m a wonderful mom,” reminding women to credit themselves for doing their best in motherhood, even on tough days.

The former champion also emphasized that not every day is perfect. She’s previously opened up about her mental health, stating, “It’s ok to not be ok.” With support from husband Alexis and friend Meghan Markle, Serena keeps parenting strong—and honest.
