Serena Williams kicked off 2024 by sharing a down-to-earth glimpse into her hectic life as a mother of two.
The 44-year-old tennis legend posted a candid TikTok video on January 1, showing what life looks like after the spotlight fades. In the short clip, Serena is seen arriving home from the CFDA Fashion Awards—where she earned the Fashion Icon Award—pulling off her wig and letting out an exhausted sigh before turning her attention to her baby daughter, Adira.
Her friend, who was filming, jokingly remarked, “That’s coming home from winning Icon of the Year.” Despite her glamorous appearance that night in a dazzling black sequin gown with a flowing cape, Serena looked every bit the tired but loving mom once back home.
Serena and her husband, Alexis Ohanian, share two daughters, six-year-old Olympia and six-month-old Adira. In her TikTok caption, Serena reflected on her past year, writing:
“My 2023 included having a baby. After having a baby it kind of feels like you got hit by a bus — not only your body but your mind too. (Well, at least for me.) Here’s to 2024… and getting my mind and body back!”
The retired tennis star also celebrated the New Year with her family, sharing fun moments on Instagram. She posted clips of herself, Alexis, and Olympia enjoying the ocean on a raft, all wearing life vests — with Olympia looking adorable in pink.
In a playful caption, Serena teased her fans: “Yea, we doing the unexpected for 2024… keep ’em guessing.”
Her Instagram posts also included sweet moments of family life. In one, the family dressed as pirates aboard a yacht , Serena and Olympia twinning in red-and-black outfits. In another, Serena appeared relaxed during a scenic hike, dressed in sporty black leggings and a fitted jacket.
Williams welcomed baby Adira in August 2023 and has since shared glimpses of life as a mom of two. In one heartwarming TikTok video from November, Olympia is seen lovingly pinching her baby sister’s cheeks while Serena captioned, “Olympia is obsessed with being a big sis.”
