Canadian golfer Adam Hadwin shared a lighthearted reaction to Jordan Spieth’s animated exchange with his caddie, Michael Greller, during the opening round of the 2025 Memorial Tournament. Spieth’s quirky dialogue followed an errant tee shot on the par-5 fifth hole.
The entertaining back-and-forth was caught on video and reshared by Hadwin, who captioned it, “This is incredible theatre… ‘I don’t want to hit it there!’” The humorous clip quickly went viral among golf fans and commentators.
Despite a rocky start with two bogeys, Spieth recovered with birdies on the fifth, seventh, 13th, and 14th holes, ultimately carding an even-par 72. His composure and skill were evident throughout the round.
Spieth’s effort placed him in a tie for 14th after the first round. Ben Griffin led the field at 7-under, followed by Collin Morikawa at 5-under and Max Homa in third with a 4-under 68.
