Why Paige Spiranac Is Not Happy With U.S. Ryder Cup Team Announcement

The U.S. unveiled its 2025 Ryder Cup team on Wednesday, and Paige Spiranac is not thrilled with the announcement. The tournament will take place at Bethpage Black in New York from September 26–28, marking the venue’s first time hosting the prestigious event.

Team Europe has dominated the competition in recent years, winning eight of the last eleven Cups. U.S. captain Keegan Bradley announced a lineup featuring both seasoned Ryder Cup veterans and fresh faces. Interestingly, Bradley, ranked No. 11 in the world, left himself off the team despite his strong standing.

Paige Spiranac, a leading golf influencer with over five million followers, took to social media to express her disappointment. She argued that Bradley should have played instead of limiting himself to captain duties, suggesting he had plenty of future opportunities to take on a leadership role.

Former President Donald Trump also weighed in, voicing his belief that Bradley should have been a playing captain. Only one man has ever done that before—Arnold Palmer in 1963—but Bradley declined the chance to follow in his footsteps. The Ryder Cup tees off September 26 with Trump expected to attend.
