Jordan Spieth’s mother, Mary Christine “Chris” Spieth, began her professional career after graduating from Moravian College in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. At Moravian, she earned a degree in computer science and was also a standout basketball player .
In 1988, Chris and her husband, Shawn Spieth, relocated to Dallas, Texas, where she took a position as a network analyst at Neiman Marcus . She continued working there into the early years of raising their family, emphasizing the importance of her children seeing her earn a paycheck.
Later on, Chris transitioned into education, taking on two temporary jobs to support her children’s schooling. She worked for seven years at Jesuit College Preparatory School in Dallas, where both Jordan and his brother Steven attended .
