The tournament’s return to the WTA calendar last year ended a 50-year absence and produced a remarkable winner in Tatjana Maria. At 37, she became the oldest WTA 500 champion, defeating top names like Elena Rybakina, Madison Keys, and Amanda Anisimova.

Organisers have again secured a strong field, with Jessica Pegula entering as the highest-ranked player and Anisimova also returning.
